Things I live for
Tuesday, January 13
"What do you live for?" Some people live for the weekend, or the parties or something of their interest. Some live for their loved ones. Some live to make the world a better place. As we grow older, our outlook of things change. Our opinions change. Even our purposes in life change. This question made me wonder. You'd think that it was so simple that I needn't rack my brain over it. But the thing is, I couldn't find the right answer. I've lived for nearly 14 years now, and I don't know what I live for. Quite a shame, really. This question just never occured to me. It never occured to me of why I didn't just kill myself years ago, and still wake up to the bright sunlight each day. Then I found the answer. Life is too precious. But why is life so precious to me? Because life is beautiful. Life is full of wonders. Life is full of surprises. I am too young to have learn all the things there are yet to be learned. I am too young to discover the surprises awaiting me. I am too young to see the beauty in life. I want to learn and find more knowledge in life. I want to fulfill my goals, to make most of my experiences; whether they're good or bad. I want to discover the surprises, to learn from them and pass my lessons down. Most of all, I live for family and friends, the most important people in my life. Might sound like a cliche, but there is nothing more special than love and friendship. These are the things I live for. Things that keep me alive. What are yours? |
