Avatar.
The most talked about movie in the world, in Australia and of course, in my circle of friends. So we went and saw it in 3D yesterday.

When I first saw the trailer, I really wanted to see it. But then I started having my doubts as I don't particularly like animation (which a lot of the movie is built solely on that genre). Another reason was also based on the fact that it was directed by the same director that directed Titanic. And I wasn't a huge fan of Titanic. Plus the thought of watching a couple of blue creatures for a few hours put me off. But I went in with no expectations whatsoever, like I do with all movies that I go and see.

And for the next 2 hours and 40 minutes, I just sat there amazed. It was hands down, the most beautiful animation I had ever seen in my entire life. The scenery was just so beautiful and exquisitely phenomenal. It was surreal. And the actors were simply brilliant. Especially Sam Worthington. Their acting did good justice to their characters, so good in fact that I couldn't imagine anyone else in those roles.

Anyway, for those who want to go and see it, I suggest you see it in 3D. But if there isn't any 3D screening near your area, just watch it in 2D. I'm sure it won't be just as good, but at least you'll experience what is now called the Avatar experience.
